The following lists the "pieces" of
the camera body, described and
illustrated.
For example, we list the following:
| Lens mount
Yes, this is where the lens is
attached to the camera. Very basic.
However, there are two important
things to know about this process.
1) Alignment. You must align
the lens' white square dot with the
white square dot on the camera body
- then turn until you hear the
click, locking it in place.
This applies to all EF-S series
lenses. If you are attaching
any other compatible non-EF-S lens,
you would line up the red dots on
both the lens and the camera mount.
2) Electrical contacts. These
are VERY sensitive. Be careful not
to touch these contact points as
they are what control all
communications between the camera
body and all lenses used.
